WILDFLOWERS OLD FASHIONED

Inspired by Lainey Wilson’s song Wildflowers and Wild Horses, this is the drink for those who were born tough as nails and are hitchin’ a ride on glory’s train. It's also a signature cocktail selected by Lainey Wilson.

Wildflowers old Fashioned

Ingredients:

2 oz Barmen 1873 Bourbon

.5 oz grapefruit/rose honey syrup*

Recipe Steps:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass, stir with ice, and strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube.
  2. Garnish with a rose petal or grapefruit peel.
    • *2:1 honey syrup-16 oz honey to 8 oz water, the peels of 2 grapefruits for every 24 oz, .25 oz rose water per every 24 oz, 20 dashes of grapefruit bitters.
      • High heat until you reach a boil while stirring occasionally
      • Then simmer for 10 minutes
      • Remove from heat and let rest another 15 minutes before straining into a glass container

 

 

BUCKLE UP

Inspired by Lainey Wilson’s song, Heart Like A Truck, this is the drink for those with a heart like a truck, and this drink is as good as it is tough.

Ingredients:

2 oz Barmen 1873 Bourbon

1.5 oz pineapple juice

.75 oz lemon juice

.75 oz cinnamon syrup*

6 dashes of Angostura bitters

Recipe Steps:

  1. Add all of your ingredients to a shaker tin.
  2. Shake with ice, dirty dump into an 8-10 oz juice glass.
  3. Garnish with mint or a wildflower.
  4. *Cinnamon syrup-8 oz sugar, 8 oz water, and 2 cinnamon sticks.
    • Bring to a boil then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes.
    • Strain into a glass container

 

 

WILD HORSES MANHATTAN

Named after Lainey’s fan group, this cocktail highlights Barmen 1873 Bourbon’s coffee and chocolate notes, both of which are two of Lainey’s favorite flavors.

Ingredients:

2 oz Barmen 1873 Bourbon

.25 oz coffee liqueur *recommended Kahlua or St. George’s

1 bar spoon simple syrup

2 dashes orange bitters

2 dashes chocolate bitters *optional

 

RECIPE STEPS:

  1. Measure all ingredients into a mixing glass over rocks ice and stir for 30 seconds
  2. Strain into a glass over a large rock
